Privacy policy

The short version

We collect only what we need to run the service. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties except to operate the product. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your desired wishwell handle (optional)
• Your social handle — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc. (optional)

When you create an account, we additionally collect:

• Your name and profile information you choose to provide
• Items, lists, and other content you add to the platform
• Basic usage data — pages visited, features used — to improve the product

We never store your password in plain text. Authentication is handled securely via Supabase.

How we use it

• To operate wishwell and provide you with the service
• To send you product updates and announcements (you can unsubscribe any time)
• To notify you when your early access spot is ready
• To improve the product based on how it's used

We will never send you unsolicited marketing from third parties or sell your contact information.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted services to run wishwell:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely on their infrastructure.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. They process requests to serve the app.

These providers have their own privacy policies and process data only to the extent necessary to provide their services to us. We do not share your data with anyone else.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Unsubscribe from any communications

To make any of these requests, email us at [email protected] and we'll respond within 7 days.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request data removal, we will erase your personal data within 30 days. Some information may be retained in anonymised, aggregated form for analytics purposes.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or via the app before they take effect. Continued use of wishwell after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
